A few months back, I read a post on the 24 Hour Campfire about a fungusy looking plant called “Lion's Mane.” Its supposed to be good for memory, fight various kind of dementia, all sorts of cancer and just about anything that spammers don't address in your email. I figured it couldn't hurt to give it a try so I bought a bottle.

I can honestly tell you that the stuff does help memory problems. I started taking two capsules a day and, thereafter, every time I'd misplace something, the wife would say “Go get some of your Tiger Paw” and I'd reply “Its Lion's Mane. Tiger Paw is a tire.” Then it was “Go get some of your Bear Claw” and I'd reply “Its Lion's Mane. Bear Claw is a pastry.” The last time this happened, she said “Go get some of your...” and paused to think of something new to call it. She paused just long enough for me to suggest “Cougar's Tail?”

She hasn't forgotten what its called since.

Well I didn't post for something like 3 1/2 years and never even looked at the comments on some of my posts.  Now I find that a few intrepid souls had found the blog and actually left comments.  Not only that but 3 out of 4 of them were complimentary and the commentors even left their names.

My apologies to those who stumbled by way back when.  I should have replied to your comments but I was new to this kind of thing and didn't realize they were there.  Things came up and I just never had the time or energy to get back to it.  I expect to do a little better this time around.

I Don't Even Like Liver

Some years back I bought a gun cabinet with a combination lock from a good friend.  I immediately forgot the combination which is OK because I can't ever seem to work combination locks right anyway.  I never used the thing and last month he decided that he wanted it back.  He traded me a nice older TC Hawken for it.  Almost makes me want Liver for dinner. http://www.badassoftheweek.com/livereating.html  OK, That's sick but its really a nice Hawken.
This is a test:

The wife has started pulling up the Dudley Farm onions that I've been growing to use in a squash casserole.
