That part where I talk about the eye candy at the gun shows during the 1990s was supposed to go to SkyBill's comment on a Tactical Ta Ta Post, not this one. It will actually make sense there.
Lantryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01742636407023158083noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-992422595430001118.post-27840475733941000232015-11-06T05:55:28.936-06:002015-11-06T05:55:28.936-06:00The Niece has actually turned out to be a pretty &...The Niece has actually turned out to be a pretty "gunny" kid now that she's been exposed to them. A year ago she was a part time vegetarian and now she wants to try hunting. Part 3 of the Odyssey will be coming up soon. The Lovely Bride and I did gun shows with a LGS for a year or two back in the 1990s. Eye Candy was so rare that whenever a hot girl came by in a revealing outfit the boss would run around all the tables to make sure nobody was stealing the guns while the babe wandered by. I'm a 1911 and 45ACP guy myself too. That was the first handgun I ever fired. I shot hundreds of rounds through it before anybody told me it had too much recoil. By then it was too late. I did get a Glock in 45 ACP a while back but that was for magazine capacity. Sort of a quasi-bug out thing. Other than more ammo I can't figure out much that it does any better than a box stock 1911.Lantryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01742636407023158083noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-992422595430001118.post-28959505862587525542015-11-06T03:05:30.091-06:002015-11-06T03:05:30.091-06:00Hi Lantry,

We don't have too many basements here in Florida but I like the idea of the wax bullets. I have a buddy that's into Cowboy Action Shooting and he does that for practice. It sounds like a really good way to teach a new shooter and build their confidence. People that don't load their own don't know the opportunities they are missing.
Lantryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01742636407023158083noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-992422595430001118.post-83250802577391696392015-11-05T13:28:12.660-06:002015-11-05T13:28:12.660-06:00Sounds like a fun range day.

I setup a 20' range in the basement where I taught my son how to shoot the revolver. There was enough umph from the magnum cap to propel it accurately across the room to the targets we had tacked to an old sheet of plywood.
